"All things change.. nothing stays the same."
"Change is inevitable." "Change is good."
I love the quote, of Benjamin Franklin 'When your finished changing,.. your finished.' Perhaps it's well partnered up with the statement of Jack Welch, 'Change, before you have to..'
I have recently switched out my Canon gear for Fuji. I have resisted this for a while but.. I am really happy with the 'change'. These little black boxes are fresh and that goes well beyond their contemporary feel and appearance. I am certain the weight trade-off alone will have a big impact on my back, for my wedding shoots.
Over the next few months, there will be a few more 'changes' for myself and my photography. But, more of the good stuff all being well! Much more..
'There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction.' Winston Churchill
One of the common things asked for when I meet up with couples planning their big day, is a suggested timeline. I have recently begun to hand these out at the Wedding Show with a copy of my pricing and a brochure detailing my work. The timeline I share is shown here and is available as a PDF download when the image is clicked. Feel free to download a copy for yourself and I hope it's useful!

The arrival this week of the wedding album for Nathanael and Shanice, just over a year after they tied the knot! They chose a beautiful Black Young Album from Graphistudio, with a touch finish, matt pages and black varnish embossing. Very nice! You can see the Young Book range here, https://www.graphistudio.com/en_GB/youngbook
Graphistudio have some really nice contemporary albums and I honestly feel they fit in with my brand vision.
The 24th February - After Storm Doris hit the day before, all were bracing themselves for a rainy washout or a day of galeforce winds... but nobody told the sun that! It made an appearance and hung around for the best part of the afternoon.
A great day, all in all! Plenty of laughs, a few tears and wonderful memories! Congrats to the newlyweds! The Gallery is open.... full blog coming soon.
So one winter morning I ventured out to take some photo's of the city. It was bitterly cold! However, it was nice to see the sun quite low still and it gave quite a warm, dusky feel to a lot of scenes. It was good to have some time to try out a few places I had thought would be great for images and yielded some interesting finds and some disappointments.
Check out the stock images folder if you have an interest in purchasing images. I am certain more will follow...
So, the end of the year is upon us! What will 2017 bring? Are you planning a big event? A wedding? Your Anniversary? A special occasion??

I have begun to make images available to purchase for web usage or wall art. Have a look at the Stock Image option and see the Ibiza set previously seen on Instagram. Available at a reasonable price, you can enquire about an acrylic frame if you wish. This would be coming from a supplier and dependant on their availability. Enquiries welcome. Additionally it is possible to purchase the images with the white border and name tag or without. Below are a few of my favourites.
A sneek peek of the wedding of Matthew and Rachel, soon to feature on the blog. A great variety of images on the day - stay tuned!
In April, Sunny and Manisha got married at Raglan Hall with a civil ceremony and a traditional ceremony to follow. A very colourful and vibrant day, lots of great memories. See a few below, blog to follow
In March, Nathanael and Shanice took their vows, on a wintery day. It was a wonderful celebration of these two and there is a blog post to follow.
20th June 2015 - Mark and Kassandra got married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Bacchus Road, Birmingham. Photographs were taken at Aston Hall, Aston and the reception was held at the Sapphire Suite, Digbeth, Birmingham. A very very wet day, suddenly cleared and gave way to full-on sunshine once the bridal party arrived for the groups and informals. It worked out excellently. This was a great example of the two photographer package I offer, as Clive Blair joined me, as second shooter and also, covered for the moments I was 'otherwise engaged'!! Enjoy!
A great night for Serene and Jovin's wedding at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth on Saturday the 10th October. Images were captured on the Photo Studio setup of guests and family. A few props were enough to get the inspiration bubbling! The gallery is up and available for viewing and purchases.
A great afternoon for the pre-wedding shoot for Kass and Mark at Aston Hall! Good weather and a nice warm up for the main event!
Thanks to all who came over to C11 and visited Clive and myself at the National Wedding Show NEC this weekend. It was a good event as usual and we took many leads. Hope to confirm a few bookings for next year and 2017!
A great day for Ashok and Egidija in Leicester back in May.
The wedding of Rob and Lisa, with the getting ready shots and reception at the Mcdonald Ansty Hall Hotel, Coventry. It snowed! Still, made for some exciting Bride and Groom shots.
A real privilege shooting Dauntley and Simone's wedding having known them both for many years. The wedding vows were taken at the Birmingham Register Office and due to the weather, a quick trip to the Peace Gardens in Lee Bank, then Handsworth Park. The reception was held at the Cap Centre Smethwick. The first bride I have seen to officially do 'the robot' in the 1st dance! Great fun!
A great day at Lea Marston Hotel for Carlton and Gemma. A lovely couple with a great family. Clive Blair Photography was my second shooter.
The really lovely location - Etttington Park Hotel, was the setting for the wedding of Sean and Natalie. Once again, I assisted Clive and the following are a few images from the day. A great setting with wonderful grounds. One of my first weddings but hopefully not the last time I will shoot at this hotel.
The wedding of Carima and Chris at Packington Moor Farm, a lovely location nr Lichfield overlooking Cannock Chase. This was one of my first weddings second shooting for Clive Blair Photography. A great day, great weather, great couple. Enjoy.
